EBSCO databases

Changes to EBSCO databases

From The Knowledge Network, we provide access to a range of EBSCO databases for health and social care staff in Scotland:

  • CINAHL
  • Health Business Elite
  • Library, Information Science and Technology Abstracts
  • Nursing and Allied Health Reference Source (NAHRS)

From 14th July 2026, EBSCO will move all of their databases to a new interface - the content is the same but how it looks, as well as how you search, navigate and manage saved records and searches will be different.

This page includes links to guidance and training in one place to help you navigate the changes, as well as a link to all of our databases below.

Do I need to do anything?

Mostly, no. However, if you have any folders set up for saved references in an EBSCO database, you may wish to take some action.

Your previous saved searches and records will still be available, but any custom folders or alerts you have created will not be migrated. You should check your custom folders, download or export content if needed and make a note of any alerts you may need to recreate. See the guides section below for links to help, including how to find and migrate your saved content from the new interface.
