LibKey Nomad is a browser extension, which highlights online articles or eBooks which are available through NHS Scotland subscriptions.
What does Nomad do?
With LibKey Nomad installed, search for an article or eBook on the open web (for example on a publisher website or Amazon). Look for the LibKey Nomad button to link directly to the item.
When the full text is not available you will be provided with options to request the article through our document delivery service.
How do I access this at work?
For staff within NHS Education for Scotland (NES) the extension has been added to NES desktop and laptop computers on the Edge and Chrome Internet browsers. NES Knowledge Services are working with NHS Boards to enable access in local NHS board areas. Can I add LibKey Nomad to my personal computer?
You can download the extension to your personal computer or laptop. As well as Chrome and Edge you can download the LibKey Nomad extension on other browsers including Firefox and Safari.

When you first use LibKey Nomad you will need to select the appropriate NHS organisation (NHS Scotland). Any searches following this should automatically pick up the registered link.
